Up, Up and Away

An incredible light shone brightly beneath the crack of my closed door. Within the brilliance; there was a silhouette. Something or Someone was approaching. A white robe gently rested along the bare feet of a visitor. He stopped at the threshold.

He lingered for a moment, while my prayers continued. I didn’t open the door, nor did the thought even enter my conscious. My mind was centered on Christ. The floor remained firmly under my knees—until it wasn’t.

The room began to vanish as darkness engulfed me only for a brief moment. There was no fear, worry, or concern—only peace. Suddenly, the light returned, and nothing was keeping my visitor from approaching. In fact, I wasn’t even in my house anymore!

I was kneeling in a large field covered in strands of wheat. It was warm and comfortable. There wasn’t a cloud in the perfectly blue sky. I rested in the splendor of Heaven as He made His final steps towards me—Jesus.

Whoa, to see Jesus! This is the focal point of all human existence! To be in the presence of our Savior. Who am I that He would visit me in such a way! So many thoughts crossed my mind. One of which, was the reason I had been praying.

“Lord,” I softly spoke. I was going to tell Him my problems, but before my next response He responded. “I know.” He then reached down to rub my back. Jesus touched me, and I was never the same. I could feel EVERYTHING! He was filling my soul. Love! Joy! Peace! It was similar to the sensation of a single drop of dye being placed in a glass of water.

I remained in His presence for only a few seconds until I was in my room once more. I jumped to my feet with a massive surge of energy. I had new revelation and foresight that I would like to pass along to those struggling.

“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
